First Coaster Built with RollerCoaster Tycoon World! | Lateral-Gee | Con...

Welcome to Meteorwave's Gaming Universe!  please enjoy my retro & simulation gaming shenanigans!  And Now we'll be playing even more Rollercoaster Tycoon World which is still in Beta by Atari.  I believe that by now the game is on it's 3rd development team (yes you read that right) and the 2nd limited beta release weekend has been delayed until sometime mid January (or who knows).

This was my first attempt at building ANY roller coaster in this game, and it was also my first wooden roller coaster.  In my opinion the game's wooden coaster was one of the most broken of all coasters.  It would crash randomly in different places for no reason.  You could test the ride twice and it would crash incrementally closer to the station, for example.

So I did manage to get some off-ride footage and a POV of this coaster, which I am calling Lateral-Gee due to all of the lateral g-forces sustained on the turns of the ride.  I was unable to really build many twisty drops on the wooden coaster as it was severely limited compared to what REAL wooden coasters can do.  Please see this POV that I filmed of a Roller Coaster called Ravine Flyer II

Now that is what a wooden coaster is ALL about these days.  It's about steep twisty drops, lots of steeply banked turns.  All kinds of airtime!  In fact, more wooden coasters are even going upside down now with zero-g maneuvers.

I think the developers are really working as hard as they can to improve the game, and here is a link to their most recent Alienware Live cast with the game's developers:

Please check out that video too if you're interested in the game.  I will definitely be posting more videos soon, oh and thanks to DJ.KiKeBufon for the great track that's creative commons licensed from archive.org!  Check out that site to find great audio and archival footage for your movies today!

Let's Play Poppy Kart | Windows 10 PC Store Game

Welcome to Meteorwave's Gaming Universe! Welcome to my channel and please enjoy my retro & simulation gaming shenanigans!

Here we have Poppy Kart! Which is a Windows 10 PC Store Game, that is free! There are Ads, and in-game currency which you must earn to play the game. This is the first track of the game, and it's an obvious nod/clone of Super Mario Kart. But of course the characters are much more generic, but well suited to the game.

I really like the retro nod to the game, and hope you enjoy my playthrough. This series will be focusing on the windows DVR mostly, and will only feature the in-game sounds. I recently upgraded to Windows 10 and they make it easy to capture their own games.

Super Mario Bros. 3 (One of My All Time Favorites)

Nintendo's Super Mario Bros. 3 For the Nintendo Entertainment System & Famicom

Hey Guys!

Thanks for all that stopped by my stream a couple of nights ago!  If you haven't figured out from my blog, I'm a game caster on Twitch!

Super Mario Bros. 3 Box ArtMy most recent game on stream was Super Mario Bros. 3 for Nintendo Entertainment System (NES).  I generally gravitate towards platformers, retro, and simulation.  I don't really discriminate against new titles, but I generally want some element of fantasy and fun.  The more cartoon-like, the better as well.

Mario 3 is a game that pretty much everyone played.  It was so big at the time!  Anyone remember that movie The Wizard?  That was the 1st US showing of the game, due to the delay in shipping the game over to the US.  Apparently, Nintendo could not produce enough of the cartridges fast enough and the release was delayed!  Also, remember this commercial?

Yea . . . that's how many people played this video game back in the day.

Anyway, you can watch one of my previous broadcasts of my most recent play through on my twitch channel, and I'll be releasing highlights from that playthrough very soon!  Hope to see you guys by my Twitch & YouTube Channels Soon!

Safe Interstellar Journeys,

Lagrange Point Famicom Logo [PNG] - Transparent Background (You're Welcome)

Lagrange Point Famicom LOGO [PNG] - Transparent Background

Hey Guys, remember the game Lagrange Point?  Probably not, that's because it was only released in Japan on the Famicom console by Nintendo.  This game featured some of the best sound effects and graphics for the NES.  I almost mistook the game for 16-but game (momentary lapse of judgment I know).

However, today I have decided to share with you a PNG file that I created of the Logo from the Game.  I couldn't find one anywhere online, so I decided to make one.  You're Welcome . . .

Let's Play Legendary Wings by Capcom for NES [Part 1 - Inside 'Da Body]

Time for Another Let's Play!  Welcome to Meteorwave's Gaming Universe!

So Yesterday, I explored the 1st level of Legendary Wings.  This video game is an older Capcom Classic for the Nintendo Entertainment System and is a Shoot 'em Up Style game, with Angels or Dudes with Wings main characters.  During the "side-scrolling" portion of the game, the player can actually walk on the ground (although I'm not sure why you would).  Also the difficulty level of this game is incredibly challenging as well.  Well I hope you enjoy my let's play!  Be sure to subscribe to my channel!

Mega Man 3 Speed Run Any% - New PB 45:51 Woo Hoo!

Welcome to Meteorwave's Gaming Universe - Where we Like to Get PB's in Mega Man III

I am so excited everyone!  I can't believe that i finally got a time like this in Mega Man III.  I've been practicing this game for almost 9 months now, and i'm so excited on my progress.  I went from getting a 51:20, to a 49:10, to a 48:10, and now i have jumped to a 45:51!

I managed to make it through the 8 Robot Master's levels without dying.  I think i ended up dying 3 times during this run (also a personal best LOL).  I hope you enjoy my speed run, and be sure to check out my YouTube Channel for other fun videos too!

How to Speedrun Mega Man 3 - Giant Metall Quick Kill!

How to Speed Run Mega Man 3 - Giant Metall Quick Kill!

And now it's time for another lesson in speedrunning Mega Man III from Capcom for the NES!  Today I will show you the Giant Metall quick kill, which takes place in Doc Needle's stage after you defeat Doc Air Man.

Once again this kill is all about timing your snake search and the jumps are extremely important.  The player must make it over to the Giant Metall before he gets up too high, otherwise you will sustain a ton of damage!

Mega Man 3 | Gemini Man Zips - First Time Getting the Tadpole Skip!

How to Speed Run Mega Man 3 - Proto Skip & Tadpole Zip in Gemini Man's Stage

This is my How-To Video of the Tadpole Zip, in Gemini Man's Stage, in the classic video game Mega Man III, for Nintendo Entertainment System.  The key is allowing enough shots to get through to the last two eggs, spawning two tadpole enemies.  Kill one tadpole before making your final slide, and you'll need perfect timing in order to damage boost your way through the last row of tadpole eggs.

I've only managed to do this zip twice, so good luck ;-)
